Mike Vikdal created his own consulting and educational services firm Auslyn Group in June 2006 that provides services specific to ITSM. Prior to Auslyn Group Mr. Vikdal joined BMC Software in 1997 as a Software Consultant Specialist in the ITSM enabling line of products. During his time at BMC he has broadened his knowledge through a variety of positions that include organizations from Consulting, Technical Marketing, Sales, Development as well as driving the ITIL/BSM educational initiative inside the BMC Business School Education department.

Mr. Vikdal came to BMC in 1997 with nearly 11 years of experience in the IT industry that was primarily gained at Compaq Computer Corporation where he was a member of the Enterprise Management Center team tasked to create from the ground up a world class IT operations center. During this time he had participated in the development of many processes including: Change Management, Service Level Management, Incident and Problem Management, Service Desk function as well enterprise monitoring and management.

Currently Mr. Vikdal is a successful instructor / consultant where he assists corporations around the world in achieving their service management objectives. He is a certified instructor in the ITIL certification courses, COBIT and ITIL/ISO 20000 as well as maturity assessment consultations.
